Wilma has been playing cover tunes for some 23 years, but has now compiled a CD of her very own songs, some co-written with her guitarist, Doug Scarrow

Wilma's tunes are pretty eclectic, but stick to familiar pop styles. There's always a tinge of blues or R&B present in everything she does, but the style changes to match the lyrics. She sings about every topic from ecology to romance, Native rights to jealousy. Regardless of the song, though, there's always that same depth and quality that Wilma Groenen has always been known for. And you better have your dancin' shoes on, too!

The New CD, "Eat The Sky" was successfully launched at three Saskatchewan events in 2002:

- March 8 The Broadway Theatre, Saskatoon
- March 23 North Battleford Jazz Society
- April 13 The Exchange, Regina
