I have a long history of applying the skills and techniques I learned while obtaining my Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario. Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology, Kelsey Campus, Saskatoon SK Communications Instructor
-Created and delivered curriculum to various programs from BioScience Technology to Recreation and Tourism Management to Welders and Industrial Mechanics
-Taught a wide variety of classes, including technical writing of reports and proposals, job search, interpersonal communications including assertiveness and conflict resolution and two university transfer credit courses in history and Canadian government
-Evaluated written materials, exams and oral presentations in a timely and professional manner, with constructive critiques aimed at improving skills towards a successful completion of learning outcomes
Federated Co-operative Limited Communications Officer
-Created power points and wrote speeches for management
-Planned and implemented all communication requirements for conferences, meetings and workshops
-Wrote and edited all in-house publications, including newsletters and annual reports

-Researched and wrote curriculum for and organized the delivery of distance education for board members of co-operatives throughout Saskatchewan
-Scripted and arranged visual support for educational presentations

-Four years filming, editing, recording, scripting, storyboarding, organizing and planning video and audio recordings of cultural activities including pow-wows, pow-wow singers, elder story tellers, crafts people, medicine people and linguists
-Edited many documents, stories and children's books written and told by Cree speakers to an English translator for technical correctness and readability, while ensuring the integrity of the original voice was maintained
Synergy Magazine Editor/Publisher
-Six years publishing a magazine examining what was then the burgeoning organic farming industry
-Provided organic farmers with technical advice and anecdotal inspiration and knowledge from practioners
-Researched and wrote articles, interviewed farmers, edited submissions
Government of Saskatchewan Speechwriter
-Full-time speechwriter for Premier Roy Romanow
-Researched audience and created content accordingly
- Interviewed ministers, deputy ministers and industry experts, consulted with the premier's staff and the Chief of Staff to ensure veracity of message
Centre for Cooperative Studies, University of Saskatchewan Editor

-Edited a book about a micro-finance organization in Sri Lanka, called Sanasa
-Interviewed the writers of each section of the book, including a lawyer, economist, historian and social scientist to clarify their content
-Rewrote each section so that the book presented a unified voice
-Completed all re-writes and edits and submitted proofs to printer
